Limited Edition Collaborative Work
About the Work
Edged in Gold is a coastal work structured around boundary, contrast, and subtle emphasis.
The composition is organised along the shoreline, where water and sand meet in a narrow, deliberate transition. A softened band of warm tone traces this edge, holding the composition together while gently separating surface from depth. The water carries layered pattern and movement; the land remains restrained and pared back.
Rather than functioning as ornament, the “gold” edge operates as a structural device — a quiet marker of threshold that draws attention to the relationship between elements without overpowering them. Small, incidental details are integrated sparingly, reinforcing scale and human presence without introducing narrative.
Colour is controlled and purposeful, used to establish hierarchy and balance rather than atmosphere. The result is a work that feels composed and contained, offering visual interest through proximity, repetition, and measured contrast.
Designed to hold presence within a space, Edged in Gold reveals itself gradually, rewarding sustained viewing through nuance and restraint.
