A Gentle Escape is an artwork that celebrates the rejuvenating delight of cool water, sunshine and a good book. It depicts a relaxed figure, book open, gliding over swirling patterned water that transports you to the perfect incoming tide- water so clear and full of awe that it washes away any negative thought and replaces it with unbridled wonder.
This work started on my iPad. Each mark deliberately made by hand. Then I had it printed professionally on this lux 400gsm canvas using archival inks. Once it was back in my studio, I used a mix of acrylic, foil and acrylic medium to keep adding texture and life to the work. This is an original work.
The canvas is signed on the front and back and comes with a certificate of authenticity.
